Last February 23, 2022, the Department of Education launched “Galaw Pilipinas“, a National Calisthenics Exercise Program that will be part of the daily exercise routine in schools and community learning centers. According to DepEd‘s Statement “The Department developed Galaw Pilipinas as a response to the impact of the pandemic to our learners’ reduced physical activities that affected their overall health. Our role in promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle among our learners has become even more relevant and essential. One avenue of promoting physical fitness among learners is by doing calisthenics”. Thus, as part of our cooperation with this program, the school announces the conduct of the Galaw Pilipinas Contest with the following objectives:
a. To promote a flexible body fitness routine among Brimerian learners; and
b. To collaboratively produce a promotional video of the Brimerian Wellness Program.
This contest will be guided by the following:
- The participants must read and acknowledge our Usage and Data Privacy Policy.
- The school has the right to publish your entry on all school’s online platforms, thus, participants agree to School Publication Guidelines.
- All entries must uphold Christian values and acceptable moral standards, thus, we will disqualify participants with unethical, suggestive, or irrelevant entries.
- Participant must be a Grade 1 to 6 learners;
- Participant must wear their respective school uniform or Physical Education Uniform;
- Participant is well aware of the physical limitations and able to execute all movements from exercise-dance involved in this contest.
- Participants will perform the “Galaw Pilipinas” calisthenics exercise with clear music and video recording.
- All entries must be submitted here from March 5 to March 11, 2022.
Judging Criteria
Performance – 40%
Choreography – 30%
Facial Expression and Costume – 20%
