In the processing of these data and information, the school is committed to ensuring the free flow of information as required under the Freedom of Information Act (Executive Order No. 2, s. 2016) and to protecting and respecting the confidentiality and privacy of these data and information as required under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
Only authorized school personnel has access to personal information collected, the exchange of which will be facilitated through email and web applications. These will be stored in a database in accordance with government policies, rules, regulations, and guidelines.

Definition of Terms
a. School. It refers to Brimestone Academy Inc. as an educational institution, not including its affiliate organization such as but not limited to student’s club, teacher’s faculty, and humanitarian counter-part.
b. Technical Team. It refers to the Brimestone Academy Inc. Technical Working Group assigned to the deployment, establishment, and management of all online platforms of the school.
c. Personal Data. It refers to basic educational information of the learners such as legal name, age, address, school name, grade level, adviser, and grades.
d. School Website. It refers to the main website of the school with the domain name www.brimestoneimus.com including any domain suffix except to www.brimestoneimus.com/onlinelearning.
e. Online Learning System. It refers to the online learning platform of the school with the name Brimestone Online and is located at www.brimestoneimus.com/onlinelearning.
f. Content Contribution. It refers to any content, digital or physical, that belongs to our learners or parents or any stakeholders in which permitted to be published on any school’s online platform.
e. School’s Online Platform. It refers to all online instruments of the school like Facebook Pages, Twitter Account, Instagram, Email Marketing, and School Website.
f. Contributors. Refers to the person who willingly submits content, material, or intellectual property that belongs to him/her for publication, usage, and reproduction under the school’s name.
Data Shares, Disclosure and Transfer
- posting of acceptance to the school, awarding of financial aid and scholarship grants, class lists, and class schedules, online, in school bulletin boards or other places within the campus;
- sharing of your personal data with your parents, guardians, or next of kin, as required by law, or on a need-to-know basis, as determined by the school, in order to promote your best interests, or to protect your health, safety, and security, or that of others;
- reporting and/or disclosing information to the NPC and other government bodies or agencies (e.g., Department of Education, Bureau of Immigration), when required or allowed by law;
- complying with court orders, subpoenas and/or other legal obligations;
- conducting internal research or surveys for purposes of institutional development;
- publishing academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular achievements and success, including honors lists and names of awardees in school bulletin boards, website, social media sites and publications;
- marketing or advertising to promote the school, including its activities and events, through photos, videos, brochures, website posting, newspaper advertisements, physical and electronic bulletin boards, and other media;
- publishing communications with journalistic content, such as news information in school publications, and social media sites.
